About Craniosacral Balancing

What is craniosacral therapy?

First developed in the early 1900s, craniosacral therapy has evolved and refined into what we now know as biodynamic craniosacral therapy.

Craniosacral therapists orient to the ‘health’ innate in bodies. Without a preconceived treatment plan, the body begins to let go of patterns of disease and become more at ease.

By gently holding parts of your body, a craniosacral therapist listens to your body’s non-verbal cues where tension, stress or pain is being held and by giving space and time to the craniosacral system, changes often occur.

By seeing the body as a whole, the craniosacral therapist allows the system return to patterns of ease to which it always seeking to return. By orienting to ‘health’ not the dysfunction, the magic of craniosacral can occur. This allows the body to function more freely and with more ease and structural changes can occur.

Craniosacral balancing is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that works with your body’s intelligence and it’s inherent organising ability to facilitate healing from a wide range of both acute and chronic conditions.
